The rash from the diaper does not
always look the same. But if the diaper area of your baby is irritated and red,
apparently that's what you have. Also your skin can be a bit swollen and hot
when you touch.
This rash can be very moderate,
as some red spots on a small area, or wide, with fine red spots that reach the
stomach and legs of the child. But do not panic because handle this is part of
baby care and always will happen in the first year of the baby.
A diaper rash can be caused by
anything from the food you are eating up his own urine..
Here are some of the biggest culprits:
- Moisture: Even the most absorbent diaper leaves some moisture on
your baby's delicate skin. And when the urine of the baby is mixed with
bacteria in their faces, produces ammonia which can be very strong for the
skin. Although a baby with a diaper for a longer time is more likely to develop
rash, any baby with sensitive skin may be affected, even if their parents
change the diaper to hours.
- Sensitivity to chemicals: Your baby's rash may be due to the diaper
rubbing your skin, especially if it is particularly sensitive to chemicals and
fragrances in a disposable diaper or the detergents used in a fabric. It may
also be some lotion or powder you're using a diaper that is good for the skin
of your child.
- New food: It is common for babies have a rash when they start solid
foods or new food. Any new food changes the composition of the feces and can
increase your child's bowel movements too. If you're breastfeeding, your baby's
skin can even be reacting to something you ate.
