Tips for your nanny

The first time the nanny works for you, ask him to come half an hour before the time that you have to go. This gives you more time to know about you, your home and, of course, your son. You could even ask him to come a few days earlier and play with your child while you're at home.

Give him all the information you can, from emergency phone number to what you can not play in the refrigerator. Show how locks work from home, and make sure you know where are all thing. In particular, you can take the place of change diapers and show where they are all things.

Let them know the hours that you have with your child and explain the routines to go to bed, and the procedures for bathing and meals. If cooking or heating food show everything in the kitchen. And if you will give your child to eat with the bottle, make sure you know all the procedures. You should also tell in advance what the child can and can not do.

Remember to leave the number of your mobile phone, and the address and phone number where you will be which is important, if you go somewhere where you have to turn off the phone or do not hear well. If you'll be in a more distant, tell how to contact neighbors or other relatives living nearby in case you need help. You could even call your close neighbors and tell them that have a new babysitter, so they know in case something happens.
