Prevention of childhood allergies



Childhood allergies are associated largely with the habits of the mother state and the conditions under which keeps the baby in her early years.

Experts recommend extreme precautions, especially if one or both parents have allergies. Since this condition is heredity, and allergic parents have raised the risk of allergies in the baby up to 80%.


Habits of the pregnant mother;

During pregnancy, it is recommended that the mother apply certain restrictions on their daily routine to prevent the premature fetus is exposed to allergens factors predisposing to the occurrence of allergies. Some of these controls are:

No smoking, exposure to cigarette smoke.

Avoid living with pets.

Prevent the specialist on the suffering of allergies of one or both parents.

The environment of the newborn.

The environment in which a baby grows during the first years of life is critical for the potential it has to develop allergies.

Measures to prevent premature exposure of newborn to allergens are:

Feeding a child during the first month of life. Avoid milk formulas.

Controlling the appearance of dust mites in the baby's room.

Clean the newborn with neutral soap and dress in cotton clothing that allows skin ventilation.

Do not medicate the child without a doctor's recommendation. May develop hypersensitivity to drugs.

Preventing respiratory infections, they predispose to childhood asthma.

Discard the nursery during the first years of life because the child could be exposed to allergens.

Incorporate, one by one, only solid food after six months. If supplied several at once, it will be difficult to detect which of them produces allergic reactions.
